SATELLITE INTERNET, SIMPLIFIED

How internet reaches your property

A small dish outside your property connects to satellites passing overhead. Those satellites pass your connection to a ground station, which links it to the wider internet. As one satellite moves away, another can take over.

What does “LEO” mean?

LEO stands for Low Earth Orbit. In simple terms, these satellites fly much closer to Earth than traditional satellite systems, so the signal has less distance to travel.

Starlink and Amazon Leo use many satellites working together as one network. This group of satellites is called a constellation.
